1883 British Post Office in Bangkok surcharge “B” overprinted on Straits settlements “4 Cents brown, watermark crown CA, famous error plate flaw “Broken Oval Frame” #B16var(S.G.17b) from position row 10/5 of the lower right pane, the only original value with printing error occurred on “B” issue(other errors being from the surcharged B), Stanley Gibbons put the value at 1,100 Pounds but we do believe the market for a sample of such condition should attract much premium and draw much attention for serious collectors; very fresh mounted mint large part original gum with centering is slightly off to the lower left, extremely rare error.
