1896 Registered cover from Bangkok to U.S.A. unmixed franking of Second issue 8Atts(#15) and 64Atts(#19) paying 60Atts for letter weight 2.5 oz. (5 times rate) and 12Atts for registration fee, tied by BANGKOK (BSR-06A) cds datred 1.5.86. On reverse bearing BOSTON arrival oval rubberstamp dated JUN 19, 1896 in violet ink. The flap sealed with 2 red wax embossed deer's head. On obverse bearing boxed “R” in black ink and followed by “3802” in manuscript, and also rubberstamp with text “Suspected Liable to Customs Duties” in violet ink. Left and lower of cover were opended and resealed by British label with text “FOUND OFFICIALLY, OPEN AND SEALED”. Rough opening but did not affect the postages and still very fine. Extremely rare high denomination franking. F-VF.(1)
2439 ซองลงทะเบียนส่งจากกรุงเทพฯ ไปสหรัฐอเมริกา ผนึกแสตมป์ชุดสองไม่ปนชุดอื่น ราคา 8อัฐ(#15) และ 64อัฐ(#19) เป็นค่าส่งจดหมายหนัก 2.5 ออนซ์( อัตรา 5 เท่า) และค่าธรรมเนียมลงทะเบียน 12อัฐ ประทับตรา BANGKOK (BSR-06A) วันที่ 1.5.86 ด้านหลังมีตรารับ BOSTON ตรายางวงรีวันที่ JUN 19, 1896 ด้วยหมึกสีม่วง ฝาซองผนึกครั่งสีแดงหัวกวางอยู่ภายใน 2 ชิ้น ด้านหน้ามีกรอบสี่เหลี่ยมตัวอักษร “R” ด้วยหมึกสีดำตามด้วยตัวเลข “3802” เขียนด้วยลายมือ และตรายางคำว่า “Suspected Liable to Customs Duties” หมึกสีม่วง ด้านซ้ายและด้านล่างของซองถูกเปิดและปิดใหม่ด้วยป้ายสีขาวของอังกฤษ มีคำว่า “FOUND OFFICIALLY, OPEN AND SEALED” ซองถูกเปิดอย่างหยายแต่สภาพยังดูดี หายาก (1)
